Pune Division Earned Rs. 9.75 Cr From 1,46,946 Passengers Travelling Without Tickets April To August 2024Â
 During ticket checking on Pune Division in August 2024, 19,950 Passengers were found travelling without tickets and a fine of Rs. 74, 25,640 was recovered from them. Along with this 2299 passengers were fined Rs.8, 78,220 for travelling irregularly & without proper tickets. A fine of Rs 42,930 was collected from 336 passengers carrying un-booked luggage.Â

The above action is done under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Smt. Indu Dubey and Shri Brijesh Kumar Singh, Additional Divisional Railway Manager and in coordination with Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr. Milind Hirwe and in collaboration with ticket checking inspectors and Railway Protection Force, Pune.

Ticket checking is being conducted regularly by railway administration.

Passengers are requested to travel only with proper tickets, otherwise they will have to pay a fine under the Railway Act and in case of non-payment and they may face imprisonment.
