Pune: Fire Breaks Out in Lonkar Chowk, Keshav Nagar; No Harm to Residents
Early Wednesday morning, around 9:23 AM, a fire erupted in three shops located in Keshav Nagar, Lonkar Chowk. Firefighters from Hadapsar and BT Kavade Road stations quickly arrived on the scene and managed to control the blaze before it could spread to nearby buildings. Fortunately, there were no injuries or casualties reported, but the shops sustained substantial damage. The fire completely destroyed the goods inside, resulting in significant material losses. The cause of the fire is still being investigated, and authorities are working to determine what sparked the blaze.

The firefighting operation was a team effort, with personnel from both Hadapsar and BT Kavade Road fire stations working together to bring the fire under control. From Hadapsar Fire Station, driver Kiran Shinde led the team, alongside firemen Ganesh Pavale, Babasaheb Chavan, Chandrakant Navale, Avinash Dhakne, and Amol Shirsat. They were joined by firefighters from BT Kavade Road Fire Station, including driver Shubham Dume, Tandel Sandeep Ranadive, Harshal Pawar, and Pranay Kavade.
Local residents expressed their appreciation for the fire brigade’s swift response, highlighting how their quick actions prevented the fire from spreading to nearby businesses.
