Pune : FITE approaches state cyber cell over cyber attacks on IT employees

Pune: The Forum for Information Technology Employees (FITE) has approached the state cyber police department on possible cyber attacks on IT employees since the last few days.

In a detailed letter written to Sanjay Shintre, SP, Maharashtra Cyber Police, FITE mentioned that, techies are getting fraudulent calls and whats app messages to do online tasks like liking videos, writing reviews,subscribing to channels, and watching videos to earn some extra money.

It was further stated that, cyber criminals further asked to invest or register to earn more, and from where fraud starts and many IT professionals are falling prey to it.

FITE requested kind attention on this serious issue and requested to take necessary steps against culprits.

Pavanjit Mane, from FITE said, “Many IT professionals are being trapped in such fraud. These calls and messages are coming from countries like Indonesia,Philippines, Nigeria, Bangladesh, US.’’

Mane further told that, its big issue as hundreds of IT professionals in our group have got such messages.Even few of them prey to it then it is difficult.
