Pune: Horrific Accident in Katraj, Bike Rider Dies Due to Head Injury

Pune – In a tragic incident, a bike rider succumbed to fatal injuries following a severe accident near the Katraj new tunnel on the Pune-Satara road. The incident occurred around 11 AM, prompting immediate action from local authorities.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the Bharti University Transport Department dispatched staff to the scene. They found the victim, identified as Vishwas Dhapte from Bawda Taluka Pargaon Khandala, District Satara, lying unconscious and bleeding from a head injury.

The Bharti University Transport Department promptly alerted the Bharti police station and called for an ambulance. Police and emergency medical services arrived shortly thereafter. Dhapte, still in an unconscious state, was transported to Navle Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The body has been sent to Sassoon Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident and have urged motorists to exercise caution, especially in areas prone to such incidents.
