Pune: Husband Turns Killer After Wife's Photo With Boyfriend Goes Viral
Police arrest Bihar teacher and accomplice in Pune for murder of wife’s lover following viral photo.
In a shocking incident from Pune, a man allegedly murdered his wife’s lover after a photo of the two went viral. The police have arrested the accused, Rajiv Kumar, a government school teacher from Bihar, along with his accomplice, Dheeraj Kumar. Rajiv had been going through a tense divorce proceeding with his wife, which investigators believe led to the violent act.
The police arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the murder, took custody of the victim’s body, and sent it for post-mortem. The investigation began immediately and both Rajiv Kumar and Dheeraj Kumar were apprehended. According to the authorities, the murder was triggered by Rajiv’s anger after seeing the viral photo of his wife with her boyfriend.
The victim has been identified as Praveen Kumar Mahto. ACP Sunil Kurade revealed that Praveen was killed with a sharp weapon while he was asleep. After the murder, the accused tried to flee to Mumbai but were caught by Kalyan police.
The accused have confessed to their crime, admitting they attacked Praveen around 1 a.m., slashing his throat with a sharp weapon. Rajiv, employed as a teacher in a Bihar government school, committed the crime with the help of his accomplice due to the ongoing personal tensions with his wife.
