Pune : In a first, Maharashtra’s Chief Electoral Officer to participate in pride march on June 4

Pune: For the first time, Maharashtra’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and District election officer will participate in the ‘LGBTQIA+’ pride parade organized by Yutak on June 4.

The objective to participate in the pride march is to reach out to the transgender community for registering their members in the voters’ list.

The parade will start from Sambhajiraje Udyan – Deccan Bus Station, Good Luck Chowk – Fergusson College Gate, Shirole Road – Sambhajiraje Udyan between 4 to 5 pm on June 4.

Shrikant Deshpande Maharashtra’s Chief Electoral Officer, Bhau Galande Deputy Election Collector, Anil Ukarande founder of ‘Yutak’ and members of the ‘LGBTQIA+’ community will participate in this pride walk. Additionally, a voter registration camp for the third-party community is organized at Mangalya Office, Dagdusheth, Datta Mandir from June 2 to June 3.

Deshpande has appealed to everyone to participate in this parade.
