Pune: Keshav Nagar Welfare Association Hosts All-Party Candidate Meet Ahead Of PMC Polls
Pune, January 13, 2026 – The Keshav Nagar Welfare Association (KENWA) today successfully organized an All-Party Candidate Meet, bringing together political representatives and community members to discuss the urgent civic issues faced by over 35,000 residents across 40+ housing societies in Keshav Nagar.
The meeting highlighted the Citizens’ Manifesto, which outlines priority demands including:
– Fast-tracking the Kharadi–Keshav Nagar Bridge and Keshav Nagar Amanora underpass completion
– Road widening and drainage upgrades across internal and connecting routes
– Encroachment removal at key junctions
– Reliable PMC water supply pipeline connection
– Installation of traffic signals and CCTV cameras for safety and traffic management
– Effective garbage disposal and door-to-door collection
– Development of a public park and garden for senior citizens and children
Speaking at the event, Sudhir Shrivastava, Director of Keshav Nagar Welfare Association, said: “This manifesto is not just a list of demands—it is the collective voice of our citizens. We expect visible, time-bound action, not promises. It is time for our leaders to justify our inclusion in this city with the infrastructure we deserve.”
The Association emphasized that while residents have fulfilled their duties as taxpayers, the onus now lies on the Pune Municipal Corporation and political leaders to deliver on their responsibilities.
The All-Party Candidate Meet concluded with a call for formal commitments backed by transparent timelines, ensuring that Keshav Nagar transforms into a safe, functional, and thriving neighborhood.
