Addressing attendees, Commissioner Amitesh Kumar assured citizens that the police would make special efforts to ensure smooth traffic flow during Ramadan evenings so that worshippers do not face inconvenience while travelling to mosques for breaking their fast. He also urged residents to share information about any anti-social elements attempting to disrupt peace, stating that strict action would be taken against offenders.

Emphasising the department’s commitment to maintaining law and order during the festive period, he expressed concern over rising drug use among youth and appealed for public cooperation in eliminating narcotics from the city.

On the occasion, an online Azaan mobile application developed by the Kausarbag Society Committee was inaugurated by the Police Commissioner.
