Pune: Kondhwa Traffic Police Crack Down On Illegal Parking By Lodha's Construction Vehicles, Mohamadwadi Residents Relieved
Pune, December 1, 2025: The Kondhwa Traffic Division has taken decisive action against the illegal parking of heavy vehicles belonging to Lodha Construction at NIBM Annex, Mohamadwadi. The move comes after repeated complaints from residents and daily commuters who were struggling with traffic congestion and safety hazards caused by the parked vehicles.
Pune Pulse had published the article on November 27, 2025 in its print edition about the inconvenience caused by these heavy vehicles.
Local resident Nitin D’Souza, who submitted a formal complaint, highlighted that despite numerous verbal and written appeals to authorities, no corrective action had been taken until now. The vehicles were reportedly narrowing the carriageway, obstructing smooth traffic flow, and increasing risks for pedestrians, two-wheelers, and school buses during peak hours.
The Kondhwa Traffic Division has now penalized the offending vehicles, providing much-needed relief to residents and commuters. Authorities have also initiated regular patrolling along the stretch and have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any future violations directly to the Kondhwa Traffic Division.
The complaint requested three specific measures: removal of illegally parked vehicles, strict enforcement of parking regulations, and penal action against Lodha Construction for repeated violations.
Residents have welcomed the police response and hope that ongoing enforcement will ensure safer and more accessible roads in the rapidly developing Mohamadwadi area.
