Pune : Leopard found in Chikhli; Trapped after five hours of effort
Panic spread among the villagers in the Kudalwadi area of Chikhli on Thursday (December 28) after a leopard was found roaming around. Meanwhile, tentative efforts were made by the forest department to imprison the leopard. Finally, after five hours of effort, the forest department succeeded in imprisoning the leopard.
As per further information, the leopard was found at around 5 am in the morning on Thursday. Local citizens informed the police and forest department about this. Meanwhile, the information about the discovery of a leopard spread like wildfire in the area. This created an atmosphere of fear among the citizens.
In the morning, a team from the forest department arrived at Kudalwadi. Meanwhile, the leopard made quite a fuss in front of some houses and cowsheds. Scared citizens flocked to see the leopard. The forest department issued precautionary instructions to the citizens. Also, efforts were made to catch the leopard. Finally, after five hours of effort, the forest department succeeded in catching the leopard.
