Pune : Maratha Kranti Morcha to hold bandh in Aundh, Baner, Balewadi on Sept 14

Pune: The Maratha Kranti Morcha has organized a Bandh on September 14 in many areas of Pune such as Aundh, Baner, Balewadi, Bopodi, Pashan, Someshwar Wadi, Sutar Wadi, Mahalunge and Sus to protest against the lathi charge that occurred during a Maratha Samaj Protest in Jalna recently.
As per information, the areas of Aundh, Baner, Balewadi, Bopodi, Pashan, Someshwar Wadi, Sutar Wadi, Mahalunge and Sus will be strictly closed on September 14, 2023, to protest against the inhumane police brutality against the Maratha community members at Antarwali Sarati in Jalna district. The bandh will begin at Rajmata Chowk, Aundh and a one-day hunger strike will be held at Balewadi Phata but every community member is requested to participate in this.
This move comes amidst the citywide bandh held earlier in various places of Pune such as Hinjewadi where, except for essential services (medical and pharmacy), all the shops were closed in this bandh till 6:00 pm, in Pimpri Chinchwad where the entire city was closed &, apart from essential services, all other shops were closed.

- Fasting Venue – Balewadi Phata (10 am to 5 pm)
- Protest Venue – Rajmata Chowk (Parihar Chowk) Aundh
- Time – 10 am
- Date – 14 September 2023 (Thursday)
