Pune : Men pretending to be police thrash workers at cloth store in Aundh, shopkeepers seek help from Police

Pune: Aundh Vyapari Sanghatana (Aundh Shopkeepers Association) has approached Chatuhshrungi police station officials requesting them to investigate a case where unidentified men pretending to be police officers barged into a cloth shop and thrashed the workers. The incident happened on May 4, 2023.

Informing about the incident, Ravi Oswal, President of Aundh Vyapari Sanghatana said, “ Two unidentified persons, pretending to be policemen, forcefully barged into the shop and started beating the shop workers unnecessarily during the closing hours of the shop.”

He further said that after beating the workers they purchased towels and fled away from the spot.

Offclas from the Chatuhshrungi police station said, ” We have received a letter from the association. We will analyze the CCTV footage. Further investigation in the case is going on.”

Office bearer of Aundh Vyapari Association Bharat Sheth Bhatiya, Kesuji Parihar Dhaklaram, Belram Chaudhari, Nitin Bathiya, Ashish Rathod, Vinod Bora, Shashikant Ranwade, Dinesh Dabbi were part of the delegation.
