Pune Metro Launches Transferable Non-KYC Travel Card
Pune Metro has introduced a new “Non-KYC One Pune Transit Card” for commuters’ convenience. Previously, passengers could use the “One Pune Card” and the “Student Pass Card,” with 46,659 One Pune Cards and 15,865 Student Pass Cards sold so far. As of October 7, 2024, Pune Metro has launched this new non-KYC transit card, which does not require any Know Your Customer (KYC) verification for purchase.
Unlike the earlier cards that mandated KYC, this new transit card requires no documentation. It is solely for travel purposes and cannot be used for other services like the One Pune Card. The One Pune Transit Card is valid for 5 years or as specified on the card. It costs ₹118 (₹100 + 18% GST) and can hold a maximum top-up value of ₹3,000.
Passengers can top up the card through the Pune Metro app or at customer service centers at metro stations. The top-up fees will be the same as the One Pune Card. Additionally, the transit card offers the same discounts: 10% off from Monday to Friday, and 30% off on weekends.
The card is transferable and non-refundable, and it can be used on all NCMC-compatible transit systems across the country. Companies can purchase the card for their employees, and more than 100 cards can be customized with the company’s name.
Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director of Maha Metro, proudly stated, “For the first time in the country, Maha Metro is introducing a non-KYC transferable travel card—a proud moment for Pune.”
