Pune: Morning Walker Fatally Struck by PMPML Bus on Salunke Vihar road in Kondhwa, Son Files Complaint Against Driver
Pune, 30 June 2023: A tragic incident unfolded in the city on Thursday when a 76-year-old person, who was out for a morning walk, was struck by a PMPML bus, leading to his untimely death. The accident occurred at approximately 7 am near Reliance Fresh Mart on Salunkhe Vihar Road in Kondhwa.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Bipin Jasvantrai Dave (76), was hit by the PMPML bus while he was crossing the road. Shockingly, the driver did not stop the bus and fled from the scene, as stated by Hetav Dave (44), the son of the deceased, in his complaint filed with the police.
As a result of the collision, Bipin Dave sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead by the attending doctors. The police have registered a case against the unidentified driver of the PMPML bus under sections 279 and 304 (a) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as sections 184 and 119/177 of the Motor Vehicle Act. The investigation into the matter is currently underway.
