Pune, February 19, 2026: Supriya Sule, working president of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) and Member of Parliament from Baramati, on Wednesday headed a joint delegation of corporators from both NCP factions to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The group met Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram to highlight pressing civic issues in areas of the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency that fall under PMC limits.

The delegation included opposition leader Nilesh Nikam, former MLA Sunil Tingre, and several corporators and office-bearers from both factions. The joint appearance comes at a time of political unease between the two groups following recent developments within the party.

After the meeting, Sule said discussions focused on key urban challenges such as irregular water supply, waste management, traffic bottlenecks and rising pollution. Concerns related to recently merged villages — including gaps in civic infrastructure and tax-related grievances — were also brought to the commissioner’s attention.

The delegation sought intervention on multiple pending works, including improvements along the national highway at Vadgaon, completion of a school building and an auditorium in the same area, civic issues in Undri, and expediting the Katraj bridge project. Representatives also raised ward-level problems and urged the administration to resolve them within defined timelines.

Sule said the commissioner responded positively to the concerns presented and assured the delegation that appropriate action would be taken.

Several other party leaders and corporators were present during the visit, along with local office-bearers and workers.

Separately, Sule addressed the ongoing debate over the Kalakar Katta space at Good Luck Chowk near Deccan Gymkhana, appealing to the civic body to safeguard the site for artists and continue supporting cultural activities in the city.
