Pune: Bhide Bridge to Remain Closed Until July 6 For Metro Works; Night Closure To Continue
Pune, June 21, 2026: In view of ongoing metro-related work, Bhide Bridge will be completely closed to vehicular traffic from 1 am on June 22, 2026, until July 6, 2026, as per permissions granted by the police administration, Maha Metro announced.
During this period, the bridge will remain shut for traffic throughout the day and night.
From July 7, 2026, the bridge will reopen during the daytime but will continue to remain closed every night from 11 pm to 6 am until further orders.
Maha Metro has appealed to citizens to use alternative routes during the closure period and cooperate with the metro project authorities. The agency has also expressed regret for the inconvenience likely to be caused to commuters due to the traffic restrictions.
