Pune Municipal Corporation Takes Action Against Illegal Construction In Balewadi, Demolishes 15,500 Sq. Ft Area
On 20 September 2024, the Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) Construction Development Department (Zone 3) carried out a joint operation with police assistance to demolish unauthorized sheds and constructions in the Balewadi area (Dasara Chowk and Balewadi High Street).
During the operation, approximately 15,500 square feet of illegal structures were cleared. The action was executed under the guidance of the PMC Superintendent Engineer, with a team consisting of executive and junior engineers, support staff, six police officers, two JCB machines, a gas cutter, and ten encroachment workers.
