Pune News: 19 member managing committee of Ganga Village Society in Hadapsar dissolved

Pune: Under the Maharashtra Cooperative Society Act section 75 / 5 Deputy Registrar SB Housare dissolved the 19-member managing committee of Hadapsar Handewadi’s Ganga Village society due to dereliction of duty and irregularities in work.

“If the financial irregularities are ascertained and proven, a legal case will be initiated,” informed the former committee members including chairman Vikas Bhujbal and former secretary Popat Wadkar. A meeting was held in this regard which was attended by former chairman Vikas Bhujbal, Dr Mangesh Wagh, Adv Kabir Shaikh, Anil Bhujbal, Dilip Badve, former secretary Popat Wadkar, Ravi Baranwal, Avinash Kudale, Prashant Dudhal, Suresh Randive and other members. 

The committee which was dissolved included members Chairman Yogendra Gaikwad, Dilawar Shaikh, Ankush Jadhav, Sanjay Pawar, Anil Patil, Ganesh Patil, Mohan More, Krishna Tajane, Rohidas Saykar, Sunil Gavhale, Vivek Mule, Prakash Khandekar, Madhukar Jagtap, Nilesh Gadre, Santosh Karanjkar, Ratan Kundu, Ranjana Ranpise, Ravi Baranwal and Jyotsna Baranwal. 

As per information, the new committee was elected in 2021 and in two years a lot of allegations and irregularities in work were seen. The harassed residents then sought the help of the cooperative department deputy registrar.  The office of the deputy registrar carried out its enquiry of the two-year audit process and the committee was dissolved,” said advocate Popat Wadkar. 

“In this regard, an audit will be conducted and an action will be initiated against the committee,” informed Vikas Bhujbal. 

In response, Chairman Yogendra Gaikwad informed that the action has been taken under political pressure. “We shall seek help from the Bombay High Court and shall fight against the order,” he added.
