Pune News : 4 Year Old Girl Gets Trapped in School Bus in Kalyani Nagar Goes Unnoticed for 3 Hours : Incident Raises Safety Concern

Pune: A shocking incident took place in Kalyani Nagar as a four-year-old girl student of Bishop Co-Ed school was trapped in a school bus for 2 hours recently.
Speaking to Pune Pulse, Balkrushna Kadam, Police Inspector, Yerawada Police Station, said, “The incident took place around 3 to 4 days ago. Her parents came to Yerwada police station to file a complaint. As per the complaint, a four-year-old girl student of Bishop Co-Ed School was trapped in a school bus. We immediately went to the school & warned the authorities that such an incident should not happen again. The school authorities have apologized for the incident.”
As per information, the girl was picked up by the bus at around 11.15 am for going to school. The female attendant and the driver did not properly count the students getting out of the bus. They locked the bus after it reached the school. However, the girl was trapped inside yelling for assistance. She was also banging on the door of the vehicle. Her screams went unheard because the bus was parked in a remote area near the school. Fortunately, the trapped child was discovered by a parent who had arrived to drop her child at the school. They notified the school administration right away and the girl was rescued at around 1:45 pm.
