Pune News: Autorickshaw Driver Arrested For Harassing Schoolgirl In Hadapsar
A disturbing incident of molestation has come to light in Hadapsar, Pune, where a 15-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly chased and molested by a rickshaw driver. The accused, Faizal Wahab Ansari, was arrested by the Hadapsar police after the girl filed a complaint.
The incident occurred on Monday, September 23, around 11:30 am, when the girl was on her way to school from the Sasane nagar area. Ansari allegedly chased her and dropped a note with his mobile number, asking her to contact him. The terrified girl informed her family about the incident and subsequently filed a complaint with the police.
The police registered a case against Ansari and launched an investigation, led by Assistant Police Inspector Praveen Abdagire. Following a swift investigation, Ansari was arrested and taken into custody.
The community has expressed relief over Ansari’s arrest, citing concerns about the safety of schoolchildren in the area. This incident highlights the need for increased vigilance and measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
