Pune News: Baramati Set To Welcome Van Samriddhi Udyan: A Park for Forest & Tourism Information and Wildlife Habitat Development Â

The state government has given the green light for the diversion of 2.3 acres of reserved forest land to create Van Samriddhi Udyan, a park dedicated to forest and tourism information as well as wildlife habitat development, in Kanheri village, Baramati. The forest department had submitted a proposal several months ago, and the final approval was received from the state government on August 23.

A formal approval to construct a park for eco-tourism has been received. Work has started to build small structures on the land. This project aims to enhance public awareness about the natural behaviors of different animals and educate them on various ecosystem aspects. The area will have an Nature Interpretation Center, Butterfly Dome surrounded by Rock and Cactus Garden, Open Air Amphitheatre, Observation Deck, Waterfront development and Connecting Path and Miscellaneous Works.
This initiative is part of the department’s eco-tourism strategy in the state, which encompasses the development of several gardens in the district and various plantation efforts.
