Pune: Pune Municipal Corporation‘s Sambhaji Udyan, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune witnessed the inauguration of the ‘Chala Boluya’ pre-dispute counseling center on April 18, 2023. The District Legal Services Authority, Pune has selected 61 parks of the Municipal Department with the aim of spreading awareness and dissemination of this center among the senior citizens as well as all other masses as per the instructions of the High Court.

The pre-controversy counseling center ‘Chala Boluya’ and two jingles were printed on two boards that were put up at Sambhaji Udyan. The concept of ‘Chala Boluya’ was introduced by Supreme Court Justice Abhay Oak. This office was first started in Pune district in the state of Maharashtra in 2018. A separate cell has been created in the family court for counseling in pre-filing claims. Efforts are made to settle disputes between parents and children regarding alimony or maintenance, and if no compromise is reached, legal services are provided to both parties.

Last year, out of 432 claims, 422 claims were settled.
