Pune News : Chinchwad, Akurdi, Dehu Road, and Talegaon Dabhade Stations To Be Developed Under Amrut Bharat Scheme

Pune: Due to the persistent efforts of Shiv Sena MP Shrirang Barne, four railway stations Chinchwad, Akurdi, Dehu Road, and Talegaon Dabhade have been included in the Amrut Bharat Railway Station Scheme. This initiative aims to enhance and improve these stations. In the first phase, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the foundation stone-laying ceremony for Akurdi and Talegaon Dabhade stations on Sunday via online medium.

As per the information provided, Rs 40.35 crore has been allocated for the expansion of Talegaon Dabhade railway station, while Rs 33.08 crore has been designated for the expansion of Akurdi railway station. The expansion plans include the construction of a footbridge, waiting rooms, toilets, electrical systems, signals, facilities for people with disabilities, an eco-friendly environment, a lift, free Wi-Fi, and parking spaces.

The beautification work for these two stations will commence in the first phase on Sunday. Furthermore, all railway stations in the constituency will undergo beautification in the near future. Additionally, an overbridge will be built in Lonavala. MP Barne stated that, over the past five years, efforts have been made to connect various villages in the Maval constituency.

The central government has implemented the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme to promote the development of railway stations. MP Barne has been consistently advocating for the inclusion of the Maval railway station in this programme. Over the past few days, MP Barne has been working towards expanding and beautifying the station while also ensuring better facilities for passengers.
