Pune News: CM Eknath Shinde visits Katraj chowk at midnight, assures Katraj Vikas Aghadi to resolve issuesÂ
Pune: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday night visited the Katraj area during his by-poll campaign visit to Pune and assured the Katraj Vikas Aghadi (KVA) members of solving all issues being faced by the locals. He was welcomed by a delegation of KVA led by its founder, Namesh Babar. During his visit, Babar briefed the CM about the issues being faced by Katraj residents. Babar handed over a memorandum of issues to CM Shinde.Â
It was during the protest held by over 5,000 residents of Katraj that CM Eknath Shinde assured over a phone call to visit the area and understand the problems and also to resolve them. Balasahebanchi Shivsena (Shinde Faction), city president Pramod Nana Bhangire had intervened and connected Namesh with Shinde over a telephonic conversation.
Babar said, “As committed, CM Shinde visited our place and understood all our problems. He said that because of the election code of conduct, further action cannot be taken immediately but promised to discuss the issues with concerned authorities on priority.”
Elaborating further, Babar said that traffic jams in the area are a major concern for us. In addition, the slow pace of development works in the area has added a mess to the traffic menace. We have approached all concerned officers and politicians, but nothing has happened. Hence we gathered under the name of Katraj Vikas Aghadi and staged a protest for our demands last week.
