Pune News: Balewadi Welfare Federation awards citizens for their outstanding contribution to society
Balewadi: The Balewadi Welfare Federation (BWF) recently awarded the B.W.F. Citizen Awards to recognize the citizens who have made significant contributions to the social welfare of the Balewadi area. The awards were presented to Jagdish Bhosale and Sandeep Mandaloi for their work with senior citizens and Swapna Narayan for her civic activism and environmental work.
During the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti event, Chief guest of the program Dattatray Deshmukh, chairman of Pimpri-Chinchwad Co-operative Housing Societies Federation Ltd. encouraged more citizens to take the initiative to develop their area and contribute to resolving community problems.Â
Amey Jagtap, an executive member of the Federation, spoke about the award and its significance, as it recognizes the efforts of ordinary citizens who have made outstanding contributions to their community.
Milind Joshirao spoke on ‘Management Skills of Shivaji Maharaj’ during the event, and Tulsi saplings were presented to the dignitaries by Ashish Kotamkar and Adv. Indrajit Kulkarni.
The program was organized by Federation Vice President Parashuram Tare, Ashok Nawal, Treasurer D. D Singh, Executive Member Vikas Kamat, Moreshwar Balwadkar, Shakeel Salati, Vaibhav Adhav, Dr. Sudhir Nikhare, and Rupali Raikar. Asmita Karandikar coordinated the event, and Adv. S. O. Mashalkar thanked everyone for their contributions.
