Pune News: Decapitated Body Found Near Gunjan Theatre, Likely Abandoned For Days

Pune: A decapitated and decomposed body was discovered in the bushes opposite the Nyati Unitree building near Gunjan Theatre in Yerawada on Thursday morning. The police responded to the scene around 8:45 a.m. after a passerby reported the grim sighting.
The police officials indicated that the body had likely been left in the area for approximately eight to ten days before being found. “The remains appear to be that of a male, and initial observations show significant decomposition. The body has been sent to Sassoon General Hospital for a post-mortem examination,” they stated, adding that no suspicious items or evidence were found near the location.
The police are currently investigating the case to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
