Pune News : Drunk driver hits 3 people near Dapodi ; police register case

Pune: A drunk car driver hit 3 persons while driving on the Dapodi Railway Station road on November 3 (Friday).

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Shivaji Gaware, Senior Police Inspector, Bhosari Police Station said, “On Friday night, at around 9 p.m. a four-wheeler driver was driving at a high speed. He was under the influence of alcohol. When he was near a Dargah on Dapodi Railway Station road, he hit 3 people who were in another vehicle. Realizing this, the drunk driver fled away from the spot.”

As per further information shared by Gaware, the 3 people were injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. After they recover, further details can be known based on their statements.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the unknown drunk driver at Bhosari Police Station. Further investigation is going on.
