PUNE: A distressing incident has surfaced involving an employee from a private company who physically assaulted a co-worker for raising concerns about his tardiness returning from a lunch break. The shocking episode unfolded within the Mohammadwadi area on August 1, approximately at 10:30 pm.

According to Senior Police Inspector Bhausaheb Pathare of Wanowrie Police Station, “Following a complaint about Sohel Shaikh’s delayed return from a lunch break, an agitated Sohel resorted to a violent assault against his colleague on the office premises, employing an iron rod as his weapon of choice. This confrontation resulted in injuries. Both individuals were subsequently presented before the court and have been placed under police custody.”

A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged at the Wanowrie police station, citing violations of sections 326, 323, 504, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. This incident underscores the significance of maintaining a safe and respectful work environment, as authorities continue to investigate and address the altercation.
