Pune News: Gang Brutally Assaults Youth In Pimpri-Chinchwad; CCTV Footage Goes Viral
A youth was brutally assaulted by a gang of eight to nine individuals near Rohan Heights in Pimpri-Chinchwad. The incident, which occurred under the jurisdiction of Sant Tukaram Nagar Police Station, allegedly started when the victim smiled at the group.
Following the attack, police registered a case and arrested five suspects, including a minor. The accused have been identified as Wasim Sabir Syed, Hanjala Jabbar Qureshi, Aman Ajit Shaikh, and Rehman Shaikh.
CCTV footage of the assault, now widely circulated on social media, shows the gang kicking, punching, and even using a chair to attack the victim. His companion was also targeted but managed to escape.
The incident has sparked public outrage, with residents raising concerns over increasing violence in the area. Many have criticized Senior Police Inspector Gorakh Kumbhar for alleged negligence and are demanding stronger action from authorities.
