Pune News: Harassment case filed against SPPU’s NSUI President

In a shocking incident, a complaint has been filed against National Students’ Union of India Association (NSUI) President  Akshay Kamble for allegedly mentally harassing and ill-treating a girl student. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has taken to Instagram to demand justice for the victim. As per information, a student of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has filed a police case against Kamble at the Chaturshrungi Police Station. 

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has taken to social media on this. They alleged that Kamble messaged the victim on her mobile.

ABVP has demanded action from Pune University authorities and called on Acting Registrar Vijay Khare to curb such inappropriate behavior.

They have also urged the university administration to take action and ensure safety of students.

Senior Police Inspector Shyamal Patil has been working on this case and the investigation is in process. “The accused has been charged under IPC 354, 354a, and 354 and all are bailable sections under 7 years. The chargesheet will soon be out and the accused has been asked to appear at the Police Station. We have also received statements from the witnesses,” Patil told Pune Pulse.
