Pune News: HSC Class XII exams begin from today, 14.5 lakh students register for exams

Pune: The 2023 HSC Examination is being conducted from the 21 February 2023 to 21 March 2023 through nine divisional boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) namely Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan. A total of 14,57,293 students have registered for this examination from 10,388 junior colleges across the state.

MSBSHSE chairman Sharad Gosavi held a press conference recently. He said, “The HSC exam timetable has been prepared to reduce the stress on students, with the appropriate number of gaps between the critical subjects. The Board has appointed ten counselors at the state level and two counselors in each district to guide and clear the doubts of students. The Board has also made helpline facilities available by operating a control room at the state and divisional levels.”
The Board has also appointed assistant guards (runners) who will be working at the main center as a sitting team during the examination period. The GPS system is maintained by the assistant guards (runners) assigned to deliver the question papers and answer sheets to the main examination center. To prevent malpractice during the examination period, a list of punishments has been provided to students for misconduct, and the distribution of question papers ten minutes before the scheduled examination time has been canceled. However, students will get ten extra minutes to finish their papers.
Eligible disabled students giving the 12th examination are allowed to use calculators for Mathematics, Book Keeping and Accounting, Physics, and Chemistry subjects. The Board has also given instructions to implement the campaign ‘Gair Margashi Ladha’ work program to reduce examination malpractices.
