Pune News: Joint Inspection Yields Promising Solution To Punawale Traffic Woes

In a significant move to address the long-standing traffic congestion in Punawale, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh and Chinchwad Assembly MLA Ashwini Jagtap conducted a joint inspection of the area. The inspection, prompted by MLA Jagtap’s suggestion, aimed to identify solutions to the traffic problem plaguing Punawale residents.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police Bapu Bangar, PI Suresh Pinjan of Traffic, City Engineer Makrand Nikam of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, and other officials, the duo assessed the situation and issued instructions to tackle the issue.
Former chairman of the Education Board, Chetan Bhujbal, who was present during the inspection, expressed optimism about the outcome. “The authorities are working to remove encroachments and widen the road to clear traffic congestion. We hope this work will commence at the earliest possibility,” he told Pune Pulse.
The joint inspection and the subsequent instructions from the officials have raised hopes among residents that the traffic woes in Punawale will soon be a thing of the past.
