Pune News : Kondhwa traffic division closes NIBM road
The Pune Municipal Corporation and Pune Traffic Police have jointly decided to keep the road stretch closed to conduct road work of reducing the gradient between Sunshree Kangan and Cloud 9 on NIBM road in Kondhwa.
Since, the Pune Municipal Corporation has undertaken the road work near Sunshree Kangan to reduce the gradient, the Traffic Police Division, Kondhwa has closed the road from March 30 until the road work is completed. As per the Maharashtra Government Home department MVA 0196 / 871 / CR – 37 / TRA -2, dated September 27, 1996 notification, Motor Vehicle Act 115, 116 (1) A B, 116 (4) and 117, Vijay Kumar Magar, deputy commissioner of Police, Traffic department, Pune Police has asked motorists to avoid taking these road for commuting.
1. From NIBM road to Sunshree Kangan going towards Cloud 9, the traffic will remain closed for vehicles ahead of Sunshree Kangan.
2. Vehicles from Ghule Nagar chowk to NIBM road will be prohibited to drive from Sainik Vihar gate 1 to Sunshree Kangan
Alternate Routes :
1. Vehicles going to NIBM road – Cloud 9 – Sunshree Kangan should go via Palace Orchards road to destination
2. Vehicles going from Ghule Nagar to NIBM road should take the D – Mart road to the destination.
Residents of the NIBM road, Kondhwa have raised their concerns about the road closure and demanded that the Pune Municipal Corporation should complete the road work between the stipulated time. They should not further delay it and add to the inconvenience of the local citizens mainly patients and senior citizens. The officials stated that the road work would be completed before May ends.
