Pune News: Maha Vikas Aghadi Stages Protest Led By Supriya Sule Against Atrocities On Women
In the past few days, several incidents of atrocities against women in Pune and its surrounding areas have come to light. The state government of Maharashtra has shown extreme negligence towards the safety of women. While atrocities against women are occurring in every town and city across Maharashtra, the government is focused on promoting itself.
To bring this government to its senses and hold them accountable for women’s safety, a strong protest was organized by the Maha Vikas Aghadi under the leadership of MP Supriya Sule at Alka Chowk.
“The slogans “Home Minister Resign,” “Chief Minister Resign,” and “A Government Troubled by Atrocities on Women Is Engaged in Politics” echoed throughout the Deccan area,” Said Prashant Sudamrao Jagtap, Pune City President, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar).
The protest saw large participation from city officials, workers, and the general public, including Prashant Jagtap, Arvind Shinde, Sanjay More, Gajanan Tharkude, Ravindra Dhangekar, Ramesh Bagwe, Mohan Joshi, Swati Pokale, Dr. Sunil Jagtap, Manjiri Ghadge, Manali Bhilare, Ganesh Nalawade, Rohan Paigude, Rajashri Patil, Sangeeta Tiwari, Ajit Darekar, and Tanaya Salunkhe, among others.
