Pune: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL), the official electricity distribution company in Western Maharashtra, has urged its customers to pay their arrears and current electricity bills promptly. Due to increased arrears, electricity is disconnected for customers who have not paid their bills on time. To make it more convenient for customers to pay their dues, Mahavitran has announced that its official electricity bill payment centers in Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, and Solapur districts will remain open during office hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays until the end of March.

In addition to the payment centers, Mahavitran has also made online payment facilities available for low-pressure category household bills through its website, www.mahadiscom.in, and mobile app. Direct payment of electricity bills through ‘RTGS’ or ‘NEFT’ is also available for industrial, commercial, and domestic consumers in the low-pressure category. The bank account details of MSEDCL are provided on the electricity bills.

MSEDCL’s appeal to customers to pay their arrears and current electricity bills on time comes after an ongoing campaign to recover arrears. Failure to pay bills on time may result in disconnection of electricity, causing inconvenience and financial loss to customers. Therefore, MSEDCL encourages all its customers to cooperate and pay their dues by March to avoid disrupting their power supply.
