Pune: The Kasba Peth assembly elections are scheduled for 26 February, and preparations are in full swing. However, this will change traffic movement in the Swargate area on the 25th and 26th of February. The election staff will carry the voting materials from Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch to the polling stations. The traffic will be diverted to ensure the safe delivery of these materials.

According to Vijayakumar Magar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Division, the traffic going to Sarasbagh from Jedhe Chowk subway at Swargate will be stopped. Additionally, the traffic on the right-hand service road next to the subway leading to Sarasbagh from Nataraj Hotel will be closed. Instead, the vehicles on this road will be diverted through the left-side service road next to the subway at Jedhe Chowk. The traffic on this route will remain closed on February 25 from 8 am to 1 pm and February 26 from 7 pm to 9.30 pm.

The traffic diversion has been planned to ensure no traffic congestion on the route and that the movement of vehicles is smooth. The police department has urged the citizens to cooperate with them during this time and follow the traffic guidelines to avoid inconvenience. The citizens are also requested to plan their travel accordingly to avoid delays.
