Pune News : MSEDCL wins 6 awards for implementing rooftop solar power generation scheme

Pune, July 31 : The Maharashtra State Electricity Development Corporation Limited (MSEDCL) has won six national awards in recognition of its remarkable achievements in implementation of rooftop solar power generation scheme under the guidance of state Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The award ceremony programme was organised in Panaji, Goa on Saturday evening, an official press release said here on Sunday.

MSEDCL project director Prasad Reshme, Pune Circle chief engineer Rajendra Pawar received the award at the hands of Goa chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
On the occasion, Union Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy Bhagwant Khuba, Energy Minister of Goa Sudin Dhavalikar, chairman of AIREA Saket Suri were present as guests.

Khuba especially appreciated the performance of MSEDCL’s ‘Solar’ scheme.
Also, a programme was organised by the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and All India Renewable Energy Association (AIREA) at Panaji Gymkhana to mark the first anniversary of the web portal, named ‘National Portal for Rooftop Solar’, the release added.
