Powerful Pune : MSEDCL issues record breaking 2.33 lakh new electric connections in 1 year

Pune : In a significant development, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has provided electricity connections to 319 customers within just 24 hours for those who had applied between April 2023 and till date.

With an aim to provide efficient and seamless services to its customers, Mahavitaran now guarantees a new electricity connection in just 24 hours for urban areas.

As per information, in the last three to four months, 319 customers have been given electricity connections within 24 hours. Electricity supply has been provided to 74 customers in April, 51 in May, 93 in June and 101 in the current month of July. According to this, since April, 157 customers in Baramati Circle, 63 in Kolhapur Circle and 99 customers in Pune Circle have been given electricity connections within 24 hours.

Ankush Nale, Regional Director of Pune Division has instructed the authorities to provide all electricity connections within 24 hours that do not require the construction of infrastructure for providing new electricity connections. 

It is worthy to note that Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed MSEDCL to provide quality and customer-oriented services to electricity consumers, along with the immediate provision of new electricity connections, bill corrections, fuse call and repair works.

As a result of this, from April 2023 to date, 319 customers who applied for new electricity connections and completed all the procedures at the Pune regional division of Mahavitaran have been given new electricity connections within just 24 hours.

Along with this, the Chairman and Managing Director of Mahavitaran Lokesh Chandra has given instructions to the officials to dispose of the pending applications by providing immediate electricity connections which are being regularly reviewed at the senior level.
