PUNE: In a shocking incident, a person attacked five to six people around him and also injuring them while they were celebrating the birth anniversary of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe in the vicinity of Shastrinagar, Kothrud. He also broke the idol of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe.
As per information, the accused is a notorious criminal. The incident occurred during the celebration organized by Matang Samaj members. As soon as police received the information, the officials reached the spot and under the guidance of Ritiesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police and Sandeep Karnik, Joint Commissioner of Police arrested the accused. An FIR was registered under Section 307 of the IPC and the accused will be booked under the Atrocity Act. Further action will be taken by the crime branch and local police.
