Pune News: Over 1,000 Trees Damaged In Anandvan 6 On NIBM Undri Road; Investigation Underway
The Anandvan Foundation located on NIBM road, Kondhwa which recently planted over 1,000 trees around August 15, has suffered a setback as all the saplings have been damaged at the Anandvan 6 located on NIBM – Undri road, backside of Palace Orchards society opposite to Clover Hills Plaza.
The foundation promptly reported the issue to the Pune Forest Department, who visited the site and assured a thorough investigation to identify those responsible.
The Anandvan team urges residents in the vicinity to stay vigilant and help protect the remaining green cover.
Vishal Yadav, Round Forest Officer, Khed Shivapur, Pune Forest Department spoke to Pune Pulse he said that stern action shall be taken against the culprits. He appealed that citizens should come forward to inform about any suspicious activities like this to the Forest department. Our investigation is underway to identify the culprits and shall take stern action against the violators.
