Pune News: Pay Electricity Bills Online & Win Smart Phones, Smartwatches, Announces MSEDCL
Pune, January 31, 2025: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has launched the Lucky Digital Customer Scheme from January to May for low-tension electricity consumers who consistently pay their electricity bills online for three or more consecutive months. Each subdivision will have five winners, with a total of three lucky draws planned. For Pune regional division’s 159 subdivisions, a total of 2,385 prizes have been allocated.
Under this scheme, each subdivision will offer five prizes: one first prize (smartphone), two second prizes (smartphones), and two third prizes (smartwatches). Additionally, two winners will be placed on a waiting list for each prize. If a selected winner fails to respond within 10 days or is found ineligible due to outstanding dues or other reasons, the prize will be awarded to a waiting-list customer. The scheme is not applicable to MSEDCL employees.
The Pune regional division consists of 159 subdivisions across Pune (55), Satara (23), Solapur (26), Sangli (24), and Kolhapur (31). With five prizes per subdivision and three monthly lucky draws (April, May, and June), the total number of prizes reaches 2,385. Customers can participate by paying their electricity bills online via net banking, debit/credit cards, UPI, wallets, cash cards, NACH, QR codes, NEFT, RTGS, etc., for three or more consecutive months between January 1 and May 31, 2025. However, their previous month’s electricity bill should not have an outstanding balance of more than ₹10.
The lucky draws will be conducted online, and each customer or consumer number will be eligible for only one prize. The scheme is applicable to customers who have consistently paid their electricity bills online for three or more months and did not make any bill payments (or online payments) between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.
The first lucky draw will be held in April, followed by May and June. The results will be announced in the first week of the respective months on MSEDCL’s website. Winners will also be notified via their registered mobile numbers. Alternatively, they can contact their nearest office within three days of the announcement.
