Pune News : Pimpri Chinchwad police finalize 5 pickup spots for private buses

In an effort to reduce traffic jams and accidents, the Pimpri Chinchwad traffic police have designated five specific locations for private bus pickups. If the bus drivers are found to be picking up or dropping off passengers somewhere else, they will be penalized.

The Bhakti-Shaktri circle in Nigdi, the Tower Line in Talawade, the Babar petrol pump in Landewadi, the village fair ground in Rupee nagar, and the village fair ground in Bhosari are the pickup locations.

The decision, according to a senior Pimpri Chinchwad police official, was made to prevent accidents and traffic jams in Pimpri Chinchwad because the buses stop anywhere they want to pick up and drop off passengers.

A lot of private buses arrive in the Pimpri Chinchwad area from Nigdi, Talawade, and Bhosari. They are no longer permitted by the police to stop anywhere after leaving their respective starting point.

The senior police official added that they have asked passengers to board the buses only from these five designated spots.

For entering the designated “No-Entry” zones in Pimpri Chinchwad during peak morning and evening hours last month, 6,372 heavy vehicles have been fined by the police.

The senior police official asserted that they will continue to take action against such violations.
