PCMC Collects Record Breaking Property Tax Till September 2023
Residents of Pisoli have planned to hold a protest against the Pune Municipal Corporation over the inflated property tax bills.
The protest is also being organised to raise voice against no development as against the collection of taxes being from the residents.
Pisoli Gaon Kruti Samiti has planned to hold rasta roko. The protest will be held at Hotel Ambekar corner on April 16 at 9 AM in Pisoli. Members of all political parties have jointly organized the rasta roko.
Machindra Dagade told Pune Pulse said that the PMC has not provided any development in the area even when the village is merged in the PMC. They have been taking property tax from us but development works are zero in comparison to the taxes.
Dagade further said, “We dont have PMC water, proper amenities, road access, waste disposal systems. Residents of the Pisoli area are suffering more because of the tanker water. Residents here are mainly dependent on tanker water as PMC doesn’t provide drinking water facility.”
