Pune News : PMC Extends Deadline of Property Tax Payment Till August 2
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has extended the deadline for property holders to pay property tax till August 2nd.
As per information, as the PMC main website crashed today morning and became inaccessibleto many. Many tax payers could not pay their taxes due to the inconvenience.
The extension in property tax payment timeline is granted so that no property holder has to wait for the payment.
Because of the technical issue on the PMC website, many taxpayers were unable to make their payments before the discount scheme which expires on 31st July (Monday).
To encourage early payments, the PMC granted a 5% to 10% rebate on the total tax amount for citizens who paid their residential property tax between May 15 and July 31.
Officials at the PMC are prioritising the resolution of the issue so that citizens can make payments and take advantage of the discount scheme.
