Pune News : PMC to work for grade separator & flyover at Gangadham Chowk

Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to construct a grade separator and a flyover which will resolve the plight of several commuters passing through Gangadham Chowk in the Bibwewadi area.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Vikas Dhakane, Additional Municipal Commissioner, PMC said, “On December 4, a meeting was chaired in the PMC regarding the flyover & grade separator at Gangadham Chowk in which the decision of construction of the flyover was taken. The work will begin soon. This flyover will be from Bibwewadi to Gera Junction Chowk. The grade separator is proposed to be built near the subway from the market yard which goes to Gangadham Chowk, Katraj-Kondhwa Road. However, firstly, the nala condition will be scrutinized & then a decision regarding the grade separator construction will be taken.”

As per information shared by Vikas Dhakane, the flyover work will begin on December 5.

Madhuri Misal, MLA from Parvati Constituency, Pune, took it to X, “The problem of grade separator and flyover at Gangadham Chowk will be resolved! Vikram Kumar, PMC commissioner and I had a detailed discussion regarding the issue of grade separator and flyover at Gangadham Chowk. The Municipal Commissioner gave a positive response on the occasion.”

On this occasion, Sunil Kamble, MLA Pune constituency, Kunal Khemnar, PMC Additional Municipal Commissioner, Vikas Dhakane, PMC Additional Municipal Commissioner, Aniruddha Pawaskar, PMC Road Department chief & Amar Shinde were present.
