Pune, October 8, 2024 – The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has reminded citizens to seek necessary permissions and pay applicable fees before putting up banners, hoardings, or flex boards across the city. The civic body has designated 380 specific locations where advertisements, event notices, or celebratory banners can legally be placed.

In a recent statement, the Sky Sign Department emphasized that any banners or hoardings set up outside these approved sites without prior authorization will be subject to removal, and legal action may be taken. Residents are encouraged to contact the relevant ward office to obtain the required permissions.

Despite these regulations, several areas in Pune are still cluttered with unauthorized hoardings, particularly at busy junctions. The PMC has urged citizens to comply with the rules to maintain the city’s cleanliness and aesthetics.
