Pune News : Pune Police Successfully Rescues Woman from Abduction and Human Trafficking Attempt
Pune: In an attempt to abduct and human trafficking a woman from the airport area was successfully rescued, said Police.
A case has been registered at Lohegaon police station against six individuals under sections of 343,346,363,366 and 370.
Police officials told that, on 5 November the victim was returning on her motorcycle after purchasing cattle feed. When she was near Sanjay Park area, four to five individuals intercepted her and forcefully pushed her in their car and injected her with something.
In her complaint, the victim mentioned that, later she listened to their discussion about how and where they are going to sell her. During their journey, the victim requested to release her tied legs as she needed to attend nature’s call.
When the accused allowed her, at that time, taking advantage of it, the victim fled away in the forest nearby. With the help of local people and police, the victim reached Pune and lodged a police complaint against the accused.
Gujarat police approached Pune police. Yerwada police confirmed that a missing complaint regarding the same girl has been registered. Immediately after, with the help of Gujrat and Yerwada police, the victim returned to Pune on Wednesday.
Raviraj Warangul, Assistant Police Inspector said, “As per her complaint we have registered a case at Yerwada police station and transferred to our Vimantal police station and initiated a probe in this case.’’
