Pune News: Pune railway division earns 104 crore in Aug 2023

Pune: The Pune railway division has generated Rs 104.87 cr. from passenger revenue in August 2023 registering a significant 22% increase over the corresponding month of August 2022 which was Rs 85.72 Cr. Additionally, the number of passengers originating from Pune in August 2023 is 49.02 lakh, which shows an increase of 28% over the corresponding month of August 2022 in which the passengers were 37.3 lakh.

As per information from Dr Ramdas Bhise, Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) and PRO Pune Railways informed that in terms of ticket checking revenue, for August 2023, Rs 1.65 Cr has been collected, registering an increase of 28% as compared to August 2022 where Rs 1.52 cr were collected.

Also, the division achieved a revenue of Rs 1.34 cr in August 2023 from commercial publicity, an increase of 56% as compared to August 2022 Rs 0.86 Cr.

Railway Division has earned a revenue of Rs 43.98 cr by transporting 167 goods trains in August 2023 comprising 68 rakes of automobiles, 43 rakes of petroleum products and 26 rakes of sugar. 68 rakes of automobiles transported in August 2023 fetched a revenue of Rs 12.03 cr, a 51% increase against 67 rakes transported in August 2022 for Rs 10.65 cr. The revenue generated for 43 rakes of petroleum products loaded in August 2023 is Rs 13.64 cr, a 61% increase against 40 rakes of August 2022 & revenue of Rs 8.45 Cr.

The achievements were under the guidance of Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway Manager, Brijesh Kumar Singh, Additional Divisional Railway Manager and Dr Milind Hirave, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Dr Swapnil Nila, Senior Divisional Operating Manager who played a pivotal role in these achievements.
