Pune News : Retaining wall of NIBM road based Sunshree Emerald Society collapses

The retaining wall of the Sunshree Emerald society on NIBM road, Kondhwa collapsed today morning. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident. When Pune Pulse enquired at the Kondhwa Khurd Fire Station they confirmed the incident and said there were no report of any loss to life.

Secretary of Sunshree Emerald society said, “There is a private plot owner who has taken up work of construction. We had informed him prior to the work the set of rules mandatory before taking up the work. They have been flouted and the wall collapse incident happened today. The wall collapsed at 9.30 AM today. Wall of over 12 feet has collapsed. We are now being asked by the PMC to meet the building permission department for further action. Fortunately, when the incident took place there were no residents in the vicinity.”
