Pune News : Scuffle breaks out between workers of rival Shiv Sena factions in Pune

Pune: Supporters of rival factions led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Uddhav Thackeray clashed near Ganjve Chowk in Pune on Saturday, police said.

The incident took place a day after the Election Commission recognized the Shinde faction of the party as the real Shiv Sena.

According to sources, supporters raised slogans for their respective leaders which later created tension in the area for some time. However a police team deployed at the spot and controlled the situation within the next few minutes.

Both party workers were gathering for a function for their respective faction however due various slogans raised by workers, the situation became tense.
